问题描述
老师说 It’s hard to do sth也可换成 it’s hard doing sth，前者是不定式作真正的主语，后者是动名词作真正的主语。比如：
It’s hard to finish the work in such a shgort time.
= It’s hard finishing the work in such a short time.
我想知道，除 hard 还有哪些词语可以这样用，即前面用 it 作形式主语，后面可用不定式或动名词来作真正的主语。感谢老师解答！

类似的用法很多，下面略举几例：
It’s an awful bore having (=to have) to meet my aunt for lunch. 要见婶婶并和她一起吃午饭是件很烦人的事。
It’s a great convenience living (=to live) next door to a post office. 住在邮局隔壁极为方便。
It’s difficult carrying (=to carry) such heavy loads in the thin airof the mountains. 山里空气稀薄，带这么重的东西非常吃力。
It’s rough being (=to be) a single parent. 作为单亲是不容易的。
It was agony not knowing (=not to know) if she would live. 不知道她能不能活下来，真是令人揪心。
