There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
请问 nothing 和 either 是不是省略了一些成分？如果是，那为什么可以省略？

关于莎翁这句名言，有多种翻译。我觉得这样翻译更有韵味：
“世事本无善恶，只是观点使然。”
▲ 该句不属于省略。关于either good or bad 为何后置，原因很简单。复合不定代词，如something, anything, nothing, someone, anyone, somebody, anybody, nobody 等，若有形容词修饰需要后置。
该规则语法书都有论述。例如：
something interesting 有趣的事情
nothing special 没有什么特别的
nothing serious 没什么要紧的
everything valuable 一切有价值的东西
▲此外，当形容词后接“介词+名词”或其他短语作定语时应后置。
