2.“Much of ...”表示“...... 很多地方”， of 后面能够接可数名词，例如：

I won't pass the exam：I've missed too many of my lessons.

我现在觉得：如果名词为复数，则用 many，如果名词为单数，则用 much。

You can't see much of acountry in a week. 一周之内在一个国家游览不了多少地方。

此指一个国家的很多地方。如果改为：You can't see many of the countries in a week.(我按：此句是我编的，不一定正确)此指众多国家中的的很多国家。请刘老师指正。
