One after another has [have] gone out of the theatre. 人们一个接一个走出剧院。

我觉得应该用单数更合适。one after anther 强调的是一个接一个，按照临近原则，也应该用单数。我也见过类似的句子。但你希望有比较权威的例句，我找到了一个类似的句子：
