▲reminisce 追忆、缅怀。其内涵是：追溯往事。如：

▲remember 记得、记起、记住。其内涵是：

1. 某事处在记忆中

(1) 名词作宾语。如：

He remembers every detail of that occurrence as though it happened yesterday. 那件事情的一切细节他都记得，好像是昨天发生的一样。

(2) 动名词作宾语。如：

I remember seeing you one evening at Lady Windermere's.  我记得一天晚上，在温德尔密尔太太家里见过你。

(3) 宾语从句做宾语。如：

Carl remembers that he and his brother were often hungry. 卡尔记得他和兄弟过去常常挨饿。

(4)独立主格作宾语。如：

I can't remember my parents ever being unkind to me. 我不记得我的父母有什么时候对我不好过。

2. 记住要做的事情（后接不定式）。如：

Remember to mail the letter. 记住把这封信寄出去。

3. 代表某人向另一人问候。如：

Remember me to everyone at home. 记住代我向家里的每个人问候。

这些动词均有“记忆，记住，回忆”之意。

【1】memorize： 指有意识的下功夫把某事的整个细节都记在脑子里。

(用法1)熟记;记住

He studied his map, trying to memorize the way to Rose's street.

【2】remember： 含义较广，多指无意识地回忆起往事，也可指通过主观努力去记忆。
