Starter Unit 2 What’s this in English 1a-2e(教学设计)
教材分析 What :These is a conversations about asking others about identifying objects. The contents of The content of the last one is about greeting each other by using “How are you ” . Why:Let students know how to asking others about identifying objects and enhance their communication ability. How :The situation of the conversations provides many words of item which can help students to know more things around them. The conversations includes “this” and “that” which can help students to understand the usage of them.
教学目标 By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 语言能力:understand how to ask about identifying objects, know how to use “this”and “that” and know how to write and read letter I to R. 学习能力: have daily communication with others about identifying objects by learning words and sentence patterns; can judge the listening content according to the keywords, and master the pronunciation and mastery of the letters I to R. 文化意识: understand the methods of asking and identifying objects, and recognize the Chinese and English terms of different objects, so that students can realize the diversity of cultures; Improve students' basic ability to compare and judge cultural similarities and differences. 思维品质: students can discover the differences between 'this' and 'that' by using pictures and relevant dialogue, improving their ability to compare and analyze; they can learn the stroke order and pronunciation of letters I to R by watching videos, enhancing their ability to extract and process information."
教学重与 难点 Teaching important points: understand how to ask about identifying objects and know how to use “this”and “that” and know how to pronounce A and E. Lead in (2’)

Pre-listening (10’)
Step 2 T asks Ss to finish 1a and teach them how to pronounce the eight words. After that, T will Ss finish 1a and firstly know the eight word. Then Ss followed and imitate 1a can lead Ss to firstly know the eight word so that the learning of word can
play a game called “ 击鼓 传 花 ” with Ss to strengthen the words. T’ s pronunciation of words and try to memorize them. After that, Ss play a game with T. be more smoothly. Games can attract Ss and give Ss a interesting knowledge input.

After that, T shows some examples of usage of this and that and let students to find and conclude the rulers. Last, T asks Ss to finish the task. Post-listening (10’)

Ss listen to the record two times, guessing it for the first time and repeating it for the second time. It can help Ss improve their ability of listening. Imitation and repeating can strengthen their tone and pronunciation .
Step 10 T asks Ss to finish 2b and shows the right answers on PPT. Ss finish 2b. Doing exercises can strength their learning.
Step 11 T shows Ss a video about how to wirte and pronounce the letters and let them to learn it. Ss watch a video about how to wirte and pronounce the letters and learn it. The form of video can give a students a more interesting input.
T lets Ss to talk with each other to finish 2e and shows the right meaning on PPT. Then T shows more abbreviation to Ss. Ss talk with each other about the meaning of P, NBA and kg. Ss can know abbreviation and be more familiar with English as a language.
